Message from the Head Coach
Water Polo in the ACT has had a mixed history. From the highs of having men’s and women’s national league teams in the Australian National Water Polo League, to the lows of having no representative teams attending national championships. ACT has produced some great players who have to represented their country at junior and senior level, however they have been few and far between in recent times. CWPA’s aim is to promote, develop and enhance the sport of water polo in the ACT. We feel that having high level, year round training available to athletes we will increase the overall level of water polo in the ACT. We also hope to recruit and retain more athletes in the sport by providing professional, attractive, well organized programs and services. CWPA looks to develop a healthy and prosperous relationship with ACT Water Polo Incorporated (ACTWPI), where we work together to achieve mutual goals.
CWPA is committed to helping athletes achieve their maximum potential in the sport and provide opportunities in coaching and officiating. We have been working hard to establish high performance training and competition pathways and focus a lot of energy into beginner and junior development. CWPA believes that water polo is a life-long sport and is committed to developing the ‘whole’ water polo player.
