Canberra Water Polo Academy will be hosting a January training camp for all CWPA athletes as well as ACT representative teams. It will be our first event for the year and will be a great opportunity for players to get back into the water after a long Christmas break.
Southern Sports Academy will be joining us for the weekend’s sessions, which will be a great opportunity for our athletes to strengthen relationships with athletes from the Riverina.
A session is planned with a local Physiotherapist to help educate athletes about looking after themselves physically outside of the water.
Athletes will also have the opportunity to participate in a training session with athletes from the Water Polo Australia residential camp. The WPA athletes will run a position specific session, which will help develop the athlete’s positional game.
The schedule for the weekend is posted below.
At this stage we will be limiting the camp to TDS athletes, but we do plan on running a Junior Dolphin and U12s training camp in the near future.
If you are after any more information regarding the weekend please don’t hesitate to contact Ryan McDermott at ryan.mcdermott@canberrawaterpoloacademy.com
